I was jealous of mom's snack, so she let me suck on a cold baby carrot.
Felt good on my sore gums, but I really wanted one of these...

I only had two cry times during the four-hour road trip. Mom's trying to distract me with a monkey. What else you got?
We stopped on the Ohio Turnpike for a picnic. I got to stretch my legs and eat my feet.
I like picnics.
Grandma confirmed that I will not fly away in a stiff breeze.
Grandma and I took a little nap when we got to Aunt Sharyn's house. Traveling is tiring!

Last night, the forecast said sunny and hot so it is overcast and cool.
These pictures tell a story. We have Uncle Mark’s tackle box and fishing rod, my snorkel and mask, Irises near Chick Peter’s deck, Lolly’s garden and fairie place, the bench near grandma and grandpa’s markers, the old Franklin stove which was used for years to heat the cottage, and a piece of the basswood no one wanted to split for firewood.Time just doesn’t move very quickly here which is part of its appeal to me.

Hi Mandy..These are the melmac dishes from the 1950′s. The colors were maroon and lime green,grey, and dark green. So ugly..but I can remember my dad drinking coffee from the cups, and the cups are square. I though you would like this. It is accompanied by 1950′s silverware. xo Grandma Kate
This was a good time, not the most spectacular sunset but a pretty one. We are traveling today. We may do the whole trip and may stay over depending on our level of fatigue.

Grandpa’s First Canada Trip Of The Season
June 15, 2011The dock is in, the grass is mowed, we may have our first bonfire today sometime. Maybe not. Snorkled for a little while yesterday.
Uncle Mark caught a Northern and had a feisty Bass on the hook temporarily but it got away and took his worm in the process. I finished the book I brought only to find another copy already here.
The Jeep did well on the trip up averaging 22 MPG! Your Mom thinks it is our best vehicle yet!
We had on again and off again rain but today looks like a bright and sunny one, good for snorkeling and finding that illusive turtle! Hope all is well! Love, Dad
