Birth rarely goes as we plan, and yet, it’s always perfect. I was honored to play a doula and photographer role for this couple so full of love. Their experience is still with me. Her courage. His presence and emotion. And their wise and mysterious baby boy, who I get to squeeze on Friday. Each birth I attend gently rips me apart and puts me back together. It’s everything.
