Birth Doula Services

Pregnancy and birth is a sacred time for you and your partner. It is a rite of passage and the initial acts of parenthood. It all counts for you and baby! I’m here to guide your way and help you have an educated, empowered birth experience.

I am a certified Birth Doula and have attended multiple trainings with The Birth Sanctuary and CAPPA. I’ve been practicing since 2011.

What is a Birth Doula?

A Birth Doula is someone who helps to educate and empower expectant parents to make the best choices for their birth and their baby. As your doula, I will meet with you before your birth to discuss how the pregnancy is going, address any questions you may have, help parents create a birth plan, provide local resources for birth and breast feeding classes, and any other resources needed. I provide phone and email support throughout your pregnancy, and am “on call” for your birth from two weeks before your “due date” until two weeks after. I am there for the birth itself and stay until breastfeeding has been established. I’m also available for a postpartum visit to get current with you and provide support resources as needed. As a Birth Doula, I do not preform medical procedures,  nor am I a medical advocate for the parents, however I do help you advocate for yourself!
